Are the classes conducted in-person or online?
All our classes are conducted virtually via Zoom. This allows our students to participate from the comfort and safety of their own homes.
What technology is required to participate in the classes?
Participants will need a computer, tablet, or smartphone with a stable internet connection, a webcam, and a microphone. Zoom is our chosen platform for virtual classes, and it's free to download and use.
How long are the classes?
Class lengths vary depending on the topic, but most classes are designed to be anywhere from 1 to 2 hours long. We offer a flexible schedule to accommodate different needs.
What is the teacher/student ratio?
We also offer 1:1 and small group format with usually a 1:5 to 1:15 teacher to student ratio, depending on student needs, our classes provide an optimal environment for individual growth and development.
Are we a vendor of Regional Center?
We are not currently a vendor with Regional Center. However, we are actively exploring the possibility of becoming one and understand the value it can bring to our clients. We'll be sure to update our website and social media if our status changes!
Do I have to reside in California to take your classes?
Absolutely not, you can reside anywhere as long as you have the desire to learn and have access to a computer and internet.
What are the requirements to participant in the program?
To participate, you must be a young adult aged 18-35, have finished high school (receiving a certificate or diploma) and demonstrate interest in attending our weekly program sessions.
Voluntary participation is required.
Can social skills be taught online?
Absolutely! Virtual environments offer a surprisingly effective way for adults with autism to develop social skills. They provide a safe space for practice, structured learning opportunities, and flexible scheduling. Online courses, support groups, and even virtual activities with friends can all contribute to building communication, collaboration, and cultural awareness in social interactions. With consistent participation, virtual learning can significantly enhance social skills for adults on the spectrum.
